CAEA Microgrants and Scholarships

CAEA is investing directly in Colorado art educators through three exciting funding opportunities. Current CAEA members may apply for support for educational projects, professional learning, rural arts education, or participation in the 2027 ArtSource Colorado Summer Residency.

CAEA Teacher Microgrants

CAEA will award ten $250 grants and eight $500 grants to support educational projects or professional development. These grants are funded through proceeds from the annual CAEA Fall Conference Art Auction.

Carrie Mann Rural Art Educators Microgrants

Made possible through generous donations from Carrie Mann’s family, friends, and community, CAEA will award two $250 grants and two $500 grants for projects or professional development serving rural Colorado schools and communities.

Applicants do not need to be designated visual arts teachers. Classroom teachers, multidisciplinary educators, special education teachers, librarians, instructional specialists, and other educators who incorporate or support visual arts learning are encouraged to apply.

ArtSource Colorado/CAEA Scholarships

CAEA will award two full scholarships valued at $745 each and four partial scholarships of $350 each for the 2027 ArtSource Colorado Summer Residency.

The residency will take place June 21 through 26, 2027, with extended studio days June 27 and 28. The residency theme and participating artists will be announced after the ArtSource planning committee completes its selection process.

Applications open August 4, 2026, and close August 31, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. MT.

Current CAEA membership is required for all opportunities. All application information must be included in order to be considered.
