Dr. Patrick George Fahey Memorial Scholarship 2025 Dear Scholarship Applicants,It is with great honor and admiration that the Colorado Art Education Association introduces the Dr. Patrick George Fahey Memorial Scholarship, established to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Patrick Fahey, a distinguished educator, artist, researcher, and dedicated advocate for art education.Dr. Fahey’s professional journey is marked by a profound commitment to nurturing creativity and advancing the field of art education. His career began in K-12 art education in Wisconsin and evolved to include high school teaching and advanced graduate study, reflecting his dedication to lifelong learning and teaching at all levels.The Patrick George Fahey Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor Dr. Fahey’s legacy by supporting students who embody his passion for artistic growth, social engagement, and educational excellence. This scholarship encourages applicants to reflect deeply on their personal journeys, cultural narratives, and aspirations to use art as a catalyst for change—values that Dr. Fahey championed throughout his career.We invite students to submit their applications, including thoughtful essays, letters of recommendation, and creative portfolios, demonstrating their commitment to art and social justice in the spirit of Dr. Fahey’s work.Thank you for joining us in celebrating the inspiring legacy of Dr. Patrick Fahey. We look forward to supporting the next generation of artists and educators who will continue to make meaningful contributions to the world of art and beyond.This Scholarship is for a Pre-Service Art Education student. The Scholarship recipient will receive a one time waived registration fee for our annual fall conference (during the year the scholarship is awarded) and $1,000 to use for Tuition and or Art Supplies.
