• Youth Art Month (YAM) is a nationwide program designed to promote art activities across the state. YAM Youth Art Exhibition contest occurs in the fall. Student art work is displayed at the Colorado State Capitol Show in March, and at the National Art Education Association annual convention. The state's winning design is printed on a flag that flies in competition with all other state and country flags represented at the convention, and is added to the YAM flag permanent collection.
